Silicone extrusion molding
Silicone extrusion molding is a continuous manufacturing process where uncured silicone rubber (usually solid silicone or liquid silicone compound) is forced through a specially designed die to create products with a constant cross-sectional shape. The extruded silicone is then vulcanized (cured) using hot air, steam, or infrared heat to set its final form.

Steps of Silicone Extrusion Molding
Material Preparation
Uncured silicone rubber compound (solid gum-based silicone or liquid silicone blend) is mixed with curing agents, pigments, and additives according to requirements.
Feeding the Extruder
The prepared silicone compound is fed into the extruder, where a rotating screw pushes it forward under controlled pressure.
Extrusion Through Die
The silicone is forced through a custom-designed die, shaping it into a continuous profile (e.g., tube, strip, cord, or gasket).
Curing/Vulcanization
The extruded silicone passes through a heating system (hot air tunnel, steam, or infrared oven) to vulcanize and stabilize its final form.
Cooling
The cured silicone extrusion is cooled to maintain its shape and dimensional stability.
Cutting and Finishing
The extruded product is cut to the required lengths, and additional finishing steps (trimming, punching, adhesive backing) may be applied if needed.
Key Features of Silicone Extrusion Molding Products
Continuous and Uniform Shape – Produces long-length parts with consistent cross-sections such as tubes, strips, and profiles.
High Flexibility – Silicone extrusions remain soft, elastic, and resistant to bending or twisting without losing shape.
Excellent Resistance – Outstanding durability against heat, cold, UV, ozone, and many chemicals.
Customization – Available in various colors, hardness levels, and profiles, tailored to specific applications.
Seamless Production – No joints or seams along the length, ensuring superior sealing and reliability.
Wide Applications – Commonly used for medical tubing, sealing gaskets, electrical insulation, automotive parts, and industrial strips.
